Friedrich KarlWaechter was born in Danzig (now Poland) in 1937. From 1962, he has lived in Frankfurt am Main, working first as a graphic artist and later as a freelancer for various newspapers and magazines, including a number of satirical publications. In1966 he published his first volume of drawings and cartoons. His famous Anti-Shockheaded Peterappeared in 1970. F.K.Waechter died in 2005 in Frankfurt am Main. F.K. Waechter's books have been published in 11 languages.
