Homicide, suicide or accident? When a member of one of the oldest noble families in Florence dies suddenly, the only acceptable interpretation is accident. But Marshal Guarnaccia doesn't believe what happened at the Palazzo Ulderighi was an accident, although he'll be risking his career if he says so. The marshal has a way of making his presence felt, and it isn't long before the »accident« is acknowledged as suicide. Still the marshal isn't satisfied, and while he claims he isn't the Marchesa of killing her husband, exaclty what does he believe?
