Lukas Hartmann A Suitable Tenant

Lukas Hartmann A Suitable Tenant

The latest novel by Lukas Hartman just entered the Swiss Bestseller list on #4!

»[…] every character feels completely genuine in this novel, in which conversations are held with gripping drama and in which the creative power of the author can be felt on every page. The author weaves the thesis that the end of love is the beginning of misfortune into a captivating story. His competent creative power can be felt on every page.«
Charles Linsmayer / NZZ am Sonntag, Zurich

A psychological novel about a family shaken by the realization that their tenant is a dangerous criminal. Lukas Hartmann forges a sensitive link between a portrait of a woman in crisis and a psychological study of a criminal.

Benedict Wells Crank Final Cut

Benedict Wells Crank
Final Cut

Jesper Lier, 20, only knows one thing – he has to change his life, radically. He experiences a turbulent week and on a wild odyssey around the new Berlin. A tragicomic novel about the fear of really making the right decisions.

»I’ve always had a special relationship with Crank. Because I was nineteen when I wrote it and so much of my genuine rage, insecurity and youthful emotions went into the book. But there were also a lot of things that bothered me about it. Stylistic issues, but also content. So it was a long cherished wish of mine to improve a few things about the story. I’ve rarely had as much fun as a writer as I did reworking this book.«

Leon de Winter Geronimo

Leon de Winter Geronimo

»What if? Utopian literature would be unthinkable without this question. Leon de Winter puts it to use in his equally imaginative and sentimental political thriller about Osama bin Laden’s end.«
Thomas Burmeister / dpa, Berlin

This latest hit by Leon de Winter will enter the Spiegel Bestseller list on #16 next week!

Also the press is thrilled:

»A real Leon de Winter novel: full of suspense, dramatically told, with a love story even a bit melodramatic. [...] Strong stuff, entertaining stuff – typical Leon den Winter.«
Katrin Krämer / Radio Bremen

»In Geronimo Leon de Winter, one of the most successful Dutch authors, entangles readers with a global issue and delivers plenty to talk about. Made up out of the private and the political his narrative mosaic is a strong novel for the present age.«
Cornelia Geissler / Frankfurter Rundschau

»With a great conspiracy, the writer places the novel in the international political arena. The charm lies in its madness.«
NRC Handelsblad, Amsterdam

»A novel with the momentum of a Tom Clancy thriller.«
Elsevier, Amsterdam

»Thrilling. A page-turner that will dispel any ounce of boredom.«
De Morgen, Brussels

English sample translation available.

Title featured title in 10 Books from Holland (Dutch Foundation for Literature).
