Author
Doris Dörrie, born in Hanover, studied acting and theatre in Stockton, California, and in New York before she decided to work behind, and not in front of, the camera. ›Men‹, her third motion picture, was shown throughout the world. Since then she has directed ten movies. Alongside her work in cinema she is highly praised by the press for her short stories, novels and children’s books, for which she has received many awards. In recent years Doris Dörrie has also made a name for herself as an opera director. She lives in Munich. Doris Dörrie’s books have been published in 28 languages.
