An afternoon talk show is fighting for its survival and wants to win back its audience with a particularly scandalous programme. The idea: several victims of the same serial offender recount their traumatic experiences, whereupon the criminal is conjured up in front of the camera. The predictable commotion is supposed to put the programme in the headlines. But the plan doesn’t work, and the talk show team must improvise – it’s all or nothing.
