Laura de Weck

Laura de Weck was born in 1981 and grew up in Paris, Hamburg and Zurich. She studied acting at the Zurich School of Music and Drama until 2005. In the same year, she was awarded the ›Paul Maar Scholarship‹ and was invited to the ›International Schiller Festival‹ in Mannheim and to the ›Frankfurt Playwrights’ Forum‹, where her first play, ›Peer Pleasures‹, was performed and warmly received. This was followed, in 2006, by invitations to the ›Werkstatttage Festival‹ at the Burg Theatre in Vienna and to ›Interplay Europe‹ (the Festival of Young European Playwrights). Today, Laura de Weck is a freelance actress and author.
