Paul’s Garden

Paul has the prettiest garden
With the juiciest tomatoes
The spiciest chilli, the plumpest grapes
Pumpkins so big you can scarcely believe.

But wait, where are all the radishes today?
Oh, darling Lieschen!
The beds are empty, the trees bare
And Paul’s face as white as a sheet.

Paul is a passionate gardener. Everything is verdant and blooming and aromatic: Tomorrow is harvest day. But when Paul goes into his garden the next day, everything has gone! He wants to find the thief at once, and a major surprise awaits.

The Moffels

Most of all, the moffels like to sleep all day long. Only after midnight, when people are dreaming, do the moffels come out.
They clamber over roofs, wander through empty streets, pass by the bakery and the school, end up at the department store and the zoo, but they can’t find what they’re looking for: a hooman, as the moffels call humans. After all, night is when humans are asleep . . .

Bear & Hippo Tidy Up

Things are getting serious at Bear and Hippo’s house: you can hardly put a foot down in the playroom anymore, and it’s impossible to find anything. It’s time to tidy up – properly. The two friends move things around and clear them away, stack and sort until everything is immaculate. So, what now? A little jigsaw puzzle, maybe? Bit more playing with the building blocks?
And hey presto, chaos reigns again!

Bear and Hippo
dear, oh dear!
What on earth
did happen here?

Bear and Hippo
Oh, the bother
They can hardly
find each other

But our friends
they work all day
they stack and stow
and pack away

The final toy
into the chest
Now there is order
there is rest.

Good Night, Little Panda

Bedtime is often anything but peaceful – there’s still so much to do and to tell, so much that’s happened during the day, and so much to catch the attention of little readers. Luckily, the panda feels exactly the same way, making this book the perfect companion for the daily bedtime ritual.

Our dear little Panda has had quite the day:
There was lots of adventure and laughter and play.

And now our Panda is all tuckered out,
So he brushes his teeth
and he washes his snout.

Picks his favourite pillow,
the one that’s bright red,
And finally snuggles himself into bed.

With his most beloved plushie
and also his blankie
In the hopes that tomorrow
he won’t wake up cranky.

That Pest Jonathan

Little Jonathan is a real rascal. When he plays football, not a single window pane is safe. There’s not a mealtime when his plate doesn’t end up on the floor. And there’s no pleasing him: if he is given pasta, he wants rice. If rice is served, he wants pasta. He throws tantrums, screams, pulls other children by the hair. Not to mention the pranks! In their despair, his parents turned to Dr. Carrother. Does he perhaps know a cure?

Not Today

The pool is closed when it’s time for a paddle,
ice cream falls down and turns to a puddle.
The newt is in a grumpy mood,
and the crocodile forgets to smile.

All the animals are blue today,
full of sadness and sorrow.
Will it get better? Not today,
maybe tomorrow!

Before there’s too much drama with the llama, the next adventure for the little panda’s animal gang is waiting around the corner.

A hilarious and wonderfully illustrated read-aloud book.

Bear and Hippo are the best of friends. Together they go on awesome adventures and have loads of fun. And even though they’re very different, they’re devoted to each other. A tribute to friendship and a celebration of being different.

Hippo loves
Nice gentle sounds
Big fat books
And pretty towns

Only one thing
Can compare:
More than all that
He loves Bear

Bear loves stuff that’s
Super crazy
Loud and fast and
Oopsie-daisy

Bear loves that
From head to paw
But Hippo
He loves even more

Mr. Tall and Mr. Small

Giraffe and Mouse really don’t have much in common – it’s more than the fact that one of them is huge and the other is tiny. But when a fire threatens to destroy the forest, Mr. Tall and Mr. Small join forces to save all the animals.

One was big.
One was small.
Mouse was short.
Giraffe was tall.
Mouse was hardly there at all –
They called him Small.

Giraffe was tannish,
Mouse was gray,
Mouse liked night,
Giraffe liked day,
Giraffe could see three miles away –
They called him Tall.
