Bittersweet Lemons

On the most beautiful island in the world, the lemons are ripening for the Bellinis' famous Limoncello. But then, the Constantinis suddenly stop supplying - they want to make the shift to organic fruits and crowd farming. When Elisa Constantini dies in a mysterious accident on Capri's serpentine roads, the island’s young detective Enrico Rizzi and his dynamic colleague Antonia Cirillo lead the investigation - and find themselves gazing into an abyss of old feuds and new disputes.

In a Hidden Cove

A woman is found dead on a rocky ledge above the sea on the island of Capri. Maria Grifo was the director of the famous Naples Conservatory of Music. Could the murder have had something to do with the disappearance of the one-of-a-kind Stradivarius harp from the music school? Its sound – as investigators Enrico Rizzi and Antonia Cirillo discover – is so beautiful there are people who would kill for it.

Green Gold

One morning, a man arrives dead in the chairlift on Monte Solaro. Someone must have shot at him from the sun-scorched Macchia below. The first clue leads to an olive grove; one that conceals an old secret. While the Naples criminal investigation department send a specialised search team, the island police officers Enrico Rizzi und Antonia Cirillo stumble across extravagant ideas regarding valuable olive oil in this, their latest case – and across a tree with a variety of olive that grows only on Capri. One for which some people would kill.

In the Middle of August

Murder on the most beautiful island in the world.

The Gulf of Naples is a test laboratory in times of climate change – and the setting of this highly topical crime novel.

Tense thrills in front of a beautiful backdrop: young policeman Enrico Rizzi investigates in the new Capri series.

Enrico Rizzi, a policeman on the island of Capri, usually deals with minor crimes. His quiet job means he can help his father in his fruit and vegetable garden above the Gulf of Naples. Until, in the middle of August, a rowing boat washes up on the rocky beach, containing a dead man – Jack Milani, an oceanography student and the son of a major industrialist family. It’s the first murder case for Rizzi, a case where the very future of the seven seas is at stake.

Enrico Rizzi: the young police officer who wants to stay true to his island.
Antonia Cirillo: his colleague transferred from northern Italy for disciplinary reasons, a woman with a secret.
Ispettore Lombardi: their boss, whose favourite office activity is enjoying the view of the Gulf of Naples.
Commissario Serra: the senior officer who makes Enrico Rizzi an alluring offer.
Gina: the woman by Enrico Rizzi’s side, who is trying to forget her terrible past.
Vito and Marta Rizzi: Enrico Rizzi’s parents, who tend their giardino with great love and make the very best peperonata.
