Reinhart G.E. Lempp, Loriot

Children for Beginners

One can neither teach nor learn how to raise children, writes Reinhart Lempp. In this book, however, he deals with the most important stages of a child's life and reveals how seemingly large problems can be mastered with small but helpful tricks.

Loriot’s Little Opera Guide

Loriot is the only one who has managed to condense Richard Wagner's 16 hour-long ›Ring of the Nibelung‹ to one evening; and equally as reliably he filters the essence from shorter works of other composers. For years, Loriot's original interpretations of operas have been in high demand by enthusiastic readers.

Dramatic Works

Loriot’s legendary television sketches in an opulent four-colour printing luxury volume. Loriot’s sketches wrote television history. Millions of Germans know entire dialogues by heart, quotes such as »my duck will not share the bathwater with you« have become common parlance. When Loriot gave his collected sketches the title Dramatic Works, he had no idea that he really would become one of the most-performed German dramatists of his time. Now this essential volume is finally available in an expanded edition with a modern layout and colour stills from the television sketches and animated films.

Collected Prose and Collected Picture Stories

»If there was no Vicco von Bülow, i.e. Loriot – ›Oh … yes‹ – he would have to be invented. You all know him from films, radio and television: ›fa-bu-lous‹. The fact that he has been refusing to appear in the circus ring in his own very personal way and live in one way or another, well, who can hold it against him? If Diogenes now releases Loriot's Collected Prose, 750 pages thick, on a market already overflowing with books, then you must buy it and more importantly read it! ›Ter-ri-fic‹!«
